Honest reviews of things that matter (and things that don't).

About the method.

Some Stuff Reviewed started as a blog: one thing, whenever we encountered it and it was worthy of review, critiqued honestly, no matter how small. It is now a review website in the same spirit — a place for considered opinions on music, food and drink, everyday objects, film and television, and technology and various other areas of daily life.

Nothing here is sponsored. Nothing is written to please a brand. Scores are out of ten and mean what they say — 9+ is essential, 7.5–8.9 recommended, 6–7.4 solid, 4–5.9 middling, and below that we stop being polite.

Anyone can add their own review at the bottom of a page. Reader reviews are held in a moderation queue before appearing, to keep the signal clean.

Moderation exists to remove spam, personal attacks, doxxing, and hateful content — not to remove opinions we happen to disagree with. If your review is on-topic and civil, it will be approved, whether it praises the thing or savages it.
